DESTINATION: IBIZA
IBIZA, SPAIN
My trip to Ibiza was the first time I ever traveled outside the US (I’ve been to Cozumel 3 times, but I absolutely refuse to count it). I went on a girls’ trip with my friends and had an unbelievable experience. Even though it’s a crazy party town, literally Europe’s nightlife island, there’s so much old history there that makes it feel magical. And if you know me, you know i’m going to find the history.
My favorite days were the ones where we walked around without an itinerary and just discovered the old town organically, immersing ourselves in the culture and language. We ate a pint of gelato every day. (that may be an exaggeration, but it may also be the truth.) I was surprised that the local culture and language is mostly Italian, not Spanish. I guess the Italians came there for vacation and didn’t want to leave. Understandable.
